Design description

The four sides of our Lord as told in Matthew (Jesus the King), Mark (Jesus the Servant), Luke (Jesus the Human), and John (Jesus is God). -- "The first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight." - Revelation 4:7

Thanks guys! @Troy - It was probably my decision to stylize the lion's mane that gives it that look. @Troy,7 - I am pushing the envelope a bit. This is only the second time I've used hand drawn art in one of my submissions, but hopefully I'll get better at translating my sketches to Tshirt designs.

David, I like your color choice, texture and your overall composition. I'm not sure about the banners. Maybe a circle with text would be better? (with elements overlapping) Then, leave the bottom banner as is. (?) Of the four images, the lion leans more to the cartoon side than the others. I agree with 7, you are pushing yourself artistically. That's always a good thing.

I kind of had the same thought as Nate, but I can see now where you were going with the symbolism. This is awesome. I love the color choice. Great work.

Good way to spark conversation about Christ. Even amongst Christians. You're pushing yourself artistically, love it!!

Thanks Dani. I've been tinkering with it off and on for about 2 weeks.

Thanks, Nate. I might clarify some (since I used Rev 4 in my description). The 4 living creatures aren't supposed to be Jesus, but their likenesses are symbolic of his personage. These symbols are used around the throne in the faces of the Cheribum seen by Ezekiel. They are also used in God's design for the Israelite camp in the wilderness in Numbers 2. Although their symbology is largely accepted amongst theologians, it is not necessarily common knowledge, and I get that. But then again, I like the idea that the design would spark discussion about who Jesus is. :)

While I love this design, I'm not sold on the actual representation of the 4 Living creatures as Jesus? I might be missing it. I guess I could kinda get it by looking into it really hard... I just feel like its kind of a stretch... It could make a great sermon I guess, just not sure a t-shirt is the best medium. Excellent job on the artwork though.
